HSV gets a new main sponsor.

He brings money.

And a problem.

24hamburg.de reveals what and what Werder Bremen has to do with it.

Hamburg – It could all be so great.

But it is not.

Since Hamburger SV, in whose environment many are asking whether coach Tim Walter has already failed at HSV *, has found a new HSV main sponsor *, who will advertise on the HSV jerseys in the future - and then this: there is a problem. A huge one, if you will.

One that depends on a very small detail.

And Werder Bremen of all places plays a role in this.

What does the unwelcome rival have to do with the future HSV dress and the new HSV main sponsor?

24hamburg.de explains.

football club:

Hamburger SV

Founded:

September 29, 1887 in Hamburg

Members:

84,200

Club colours:

Blue-White-Black

New HSV main sponsor "Hanse Merkur" brings a lot of money - but should definitely change one detail

It couldn't have gone better at HSV, where there are rumors of a transfer about striker Robert Glatzel*.

After it became clear that the previous main sponsor "Orthomol" would withdraw from HSV*, the club from the Volksparkstadion found a worthy successor in "Hanse Merkur", who will be emblazoned on the HSV chest from the summer of 2022 to 2025.

And that will give HSV a few million euros: three million euros a year if the team coached by Tim Walter* will play in the second Bundesliga again next season.

Green color like Werder Bremen on the HSV jersey?

Not only with the HSV fans but also in the club that seems to be a red rag.

And even six million if HSV, where coach Tim Walter has just counted the two HSV players Sonny Kittel and David Kinsombi*, succeeds in the long-awaited return to the Bundesliga.

No wonder then that all sides are satisfied.

Almost.

But first things first: “We are very happy about this long-term, Hanseatic connection.

A Hamburg company on HSV's chest is a strong sign," said HSV board member Thomas Wüstefeld at the presentation of the new HSV main sponsor.

And even with the "Hanse Merkur" you obviously get very bright eyes about the future cooperation with the professionals.

HSV in need because of Werder Bremen - even without the new main sponsor there is already a green logo on the shirt

“As a traditional Hamburg insurer, we have been continuously expanding our relationship with HSV over the past four years with great conviction.

I am convinced that we can still celebrate many sporting successes together.

We're very happy," said Hanse Merkur board member Eric Bussert, whose company has already appeared as a shirt sponsor in the youth team at HSV and as a sponsor in the Volksparkstadion*.

But there is still a small problem between “Hanse Merkur” and HSV.

A point of contention.

Because: The logo of the new main sponsor is green.

Just like one of the two colors of HSV rival Werder Bremen.

And with that, HSV is anything but green.

After the Hamburger Morgenpost recently asked worriedly whether the logo of Bald-HSV's main sponsor "Hanse Merkur" was really green on the HSV jerseys, where the fans recently let their anger run free* and HSV transfer rumors about two kickers gives *, is emblazoned, the club itself now seems to be immersed in exactly this problem.

As the Bild newspaper reports, HSV is said to have asked “Hanse Merkur” whether they were willing to change the color of their logo on the jersey.

It's crazy what such a small detail can cause so much worry and back and forth.

HSV already has a “green sponsor” – on its sleeve.

The logo of "Popp Feinkost" can be seen there.

Partly in green.

But even more green color at HSV!?

No, that doesn't seem to work.
