EHC Klostersee is behind in the “best of three” final series of the Bayernliga playoffs.

In an overall balanced and hard-fought game, the Grafinger Eishackler lost to TEV Miesbach, who had the stronger finals, in front of almost 1200 spectators by 1:3 goals.

Grafing

– After a lap of honor with the trophy for the Bavarian champions by Taras Boitsun, another refugee boy from the Ukrainian capital of Kiev, who was warmly welcomed into the EHC-U15, it all started straight away.

The opponent's strengths and weaknesses were well known from the previous four clashes.

Willingness to run and duel strength were the order of the first few minutes.

Every check was completed on both sides, every centimeter of ice was fought over.

In the power play after a good three minutes, the red and white were able to establish themselves in the attacking zone.

But nothing that was really compelling jumped out.

Shortly thereafter, the next personnel setback for Klostersee, who after the long-term injuries Raphael Kaefer and Johannes Kroner as well as Felix Kaller (ill) also had to do without Lynnden Pastachak.

The Canadian had caught a gastrointestinal virus and really wanted to be there, but gave up after just two attempts on the ice, completely powerless.

Another enormous loss of quality, which affected the action after a deflection attempt by Gennaro Hördt (7th).

The guest team was more present and won important situations.

Reacted the decisive tick faster when the puck bounced back from the fence directly into the danger area in front of Philipp Hähl, and had a soloist in Canadian Patrick Asselin, who was able to fill up and finish cool (11th/17th).

Shortly before the 0:2, Simon Roeder failed alone in front of guest keeper Anian Geratsdorfer.

Klostersee reported back about the fight in the second section.

After a balanced first few minutes after the restart, you kept working your way in front of the TEV housing.

And was rewarded with the 1:2 by Florian Gaschke (31st).

After a solo by Christian Hummer, who was strong again, the Grafingers could have drawn level (32nd).

It would have been deserved by now, but the EHC had to start the remaining 20 minutes with a narrow deficit.

And so we continue to make great efforts and go a long way.

Miesbach saw himself pushed into the defense and had little relief.

Klostersee pressed for the equalizer and missed the 2:2, among other things, due to Bob Wren (44th), who went into the game battered.

The TEV bulwark held and the guests' only clear chance to score was 1:3 (57th).

Miesbach's league roughneck Nikolaus Meier put the negative end to the previously hard-fought but always fair game - with a nasty knee check against Gennaro Hördt.

He received a match penalty and will watch the second final duel on Sunday.
