Former SEF kicker Maxi Thalhammer returns to SSV Jahn Regensburg
Freising
– There aren’t many footballers from the Freising district who are currently earning their money from kicking.
One of the most successful at the moment is Maximilian Thalhammer, who will switch to SSV Jahn Regensburg for the new season, as has now been announced.
Der Jahn presented the native of Freising as the first new signing for the coming season.
"We are convinced that his footballing style will do us good," writes the club on its website.
Thalhammer himself is looking forward to his time in the city on the Danube, where he was already active in 18/19.
Thalhammer: "I like that Jahn wants to play actively and with passion." The 24-year-old Thalhammer was trained up to the B juniors at SE Freising, then switched to the youth department of FC Ingolstadt.
Thalhammer made his debut there,
whose brother Sebastian is active at the SEF in the Landesliga, in the 2017/2018 season in the second Bundesliga.
The following year, the FCI officials loaned the midfielder to Regensburg for a year because they saw no prospects in Ingolstadt.
Thalhammer immediately gained a foothold at Jahn Regensburg and played 22 second division games.
Nevertheless, we then went back to Ingolstadt, which had just been relegated to the third division.
After 32 games in the third division, Thalhammer moved back to the vice-upper house of German football, where Thalhammer has now played for SC Paderborn for two years.
Now it's back to the Bavarian homeland.
