There is no doubt that Linoy Ashram's retirement from activity at such a young age is a surprise to us all.
I'm glad for her that she's taking that step, it does not seem to me simple to leave like that and as they say "being a citizen", after she has spent all her life in the gym.
I also know how hard it is to be a lifelong in training and work hard, but now she is embarking on a new path and I wish her success in whatever path she chooses.
Linoy is a role model for many young girls, and many Israelis realized after her achievements that through hard work it is possible to fulfill dreams, no matter how big.
I can understand Ashram's move, everyone has their own considerations, and I also told myself even before the Tokyo Olympics that I would continue in the industry, no matter what my results in the Olympics would be.
There is no doubt that my and Linoy's wins in gold in Tokyo have greatly advanced the gymnastics industry, and I can attest to myself that many have written to me how much they now want to go train in the industry, or are following it.
We have both proven that with hard work you can go the furthest in sports.
Now, I'm sure that if Linoy wants, she can contribute a lot to the industry, either as a coach or in any professional position in the future.
Anyway this is her choice, and I know she will succeed in any future choice, as she has proven what a champion she is on the surface as an athlete.
