New world record for the Papadakis-Cizeron duo at the Montpellier Worlds

During the Worlds in Montpellier, the Olympic champions took an option for a fifth coronation by beating their own world record

They are well on their way to a fifth world title.

The superb French ice dancing duo, Gabriella Papadakis and Guillaume Cizeron, lit up the Montpellier ice rink with their talent and grace this Friday during the rhythm dance.

The Olympic champions in Beijing set fire to the ice and madness in stands obviously won over to their cause.

With their sublime arm game and their magnificent choreography on a medley of John Legend, the French once again repelled the competition from the rhythmic dance!

A priori more relaxed than in Beijing, the Habs left the ice with a total of 92.73 points, the new world record and take the lead in the rankings by a wide margin!

What more than seriously considering a new coronation that would put them ahead of their illustrious elders Andrée and Pierre Brunet (four crowns in the interwar period)

In the absence of their Russian runners-up at the Olympics (Sinitsina and Katsalapov), Gabriella Papadakis and Guillaume Cizeron will tackle the free program on Saturday, more than three points ahead of the Americans Madison Hubbell-Zachary Donohue (89.72 points) and more than five lengths over the other duo from the United States Madison Chock-Ewan Bates with 87.51 points.

A final free program before, perhaps, they choose to turn the page of their "amateur" career in apotheosis in this ice rink in Montpellier.
