FC Langengeisling has the chance to break away from the places threatened with relegation.
Langengeisling – One week after the furious 5-1 win against Baldham-Vaterstetten, the Langengeislingers have their next league game this Saturday.
At 3 p.m. the kick-off takes place at the bottom of the table TSV Otterfing, who started the second half of the season with one point from two games.
This game offers a very good chance to take the momentum from the last home game and score important points against relegation, says Maxi Maier, player and technical director at FCL: "It's a great opportunity to get something out of the relegation places to sell, and we want to use it.
However, Otterfing is still under a bit more pressure, so I'm expecting a difficult away game.” According to Maier, external influences will also play a role in this game.
“Anyone who has followed the weather report knows that this will not be a nice summer kick.
This will be a fighting game with lots of duels and aerial duels.
We have to act as a team, especially to secure the second balls.”
Maier also addresses the first leg in Langengeisling, in which the FCL won 4:2 after 0:2.
"We know how to win against them, but we've also seen how dangerous they can be," he concludes.
There is very good news about the squad situation, which has improved significantly.
"Last week we had a half-fit substitute, now we're going to Otterfing with 18 men," says Maier happily.
The returnees include Lucas Seeholzer, Ömer Altinisik, Maurice Steck, Douglas Wilson and Maier himself. “However, many of these players are only able to play for a short time after a long break.
You have to fight every duel against Otterfing, so we should approach the comebacks slowly,” he states.
Michael Faltlhauser and René Mecking will drop out.
