The French international had a big game this Sunday evening by scoring two tries in Racing's victory against Stade Français (53-20).

He first scored a try at the end of the first period by making his speed speak to put his team in front of the scoreboard at the best of times (36th).

Then at the very beginning of the second period, it was once again he who scored twice to allow Racing to break away (42nd).

After a complicated start to the game where he conceded two penalties and lost two balls, he then walked on his opponents to turn this game around.

Max Spring, a real whirlwind

The young rear of Racing produced a very good performance.

Spring constantly brought danger with his speed on almost every ball he touched.

His hooks and his very fast changes of support allowed him to make the difference on the action which brings the first test of Racing 92. On this action, he put down two opposing defenders before serving Machenaud to finish on a test of Gomes Sa (5th).

FLOPS

Nicolas Sanchez misses his chance

Nicolas Sanchez is usually behind Joris Segonds at Stade Français for the opener position.

Against Racing, the Argentinian was established but failed to seize the opportunity given by his coach.

He failed to organize his team's play and launched the Stade Français offensives.

In an excellent position 25 meters in front of the posts, he tried but completely missed a drop in the 30th minute when his team was leading in the score at this point in the match.

He also made a few hand errors that put an end to actions.

A disappointing game.

Pierre-Henri Azagoh in the hard

The second row was in great difficulty against Racing this Sunday.

He was not present enough in the impact and weighed too little on the match.

He was certainly rather clean defensively but still conceded two penalties against very good opponents on foot.

We must not blame the defeat on his shoulders but he completely cracked with the rest of his teammates in the second half who lost quite heavily in this derby (53-20).
