A violent incident at a youth basketball game in Georgia USA.
The referee was attacked at the end of the game in a youth tournament in the city of Lithonia on Sunday, and according to the TMZ website needed 30 stitches following the blows he suffered. However, his condition has now improved.

The incident was all documented in a video that went viral, with a number of young players and other passers-by appearing to violently attack the referee after the end of the match.
One of the organizers of the tournament in Lithonia last weekend told TMZ that he did not know what caused the confrontation after the game, which was between the eighth grade children.
"We will make sure that in the future the tournament will be safer for the referees," he said, adding that he spoke with the referee, who feels better now.
It was further reported that the local police are investigating the incident.
A spokesman for the Stronghold Christian Church, which owns the basketball hall, said they hoped and prayed that "future competitors entering our facility will behave in the best way possible".
