Europa League Conference: incidents between supporters in Marseille before OM-PAOK

While Olympique de Marseille receives PAOK this evening (9 p.m.) in the quarter-finals of the Europa League, incidents have taken place between supporters of the two teams.


There are already three arrests before the match between OM and PAOK Salonika, this Thursday evening at the Vélodrome stadium (9 p.m.).

On Wednesday evening, the police had already had to intervene to avoid clashes between supporters of the two clubs.

A Marseille fan had been arrested and taken into custody.

BAC vehicles targeted by the PAOK ultras group

This Thursday, two Greek supporters were also arrested and placed in police custody, as indicated by the Bouches-du-Rhône police headquarters.

New incidents took place in the Joliette district.

Nearly 400 ultras from the Greek club had gathered and some of them were carrying metal bars.

The police have managed to contain this group and must now transport the procession to the Velodrome.

Greek supporters were indeed banned from driving on public roads in several districts of the city of Marseille.

BAC vehicles were taken to task by the group of PAOK ultras.

The two crews would have intervened after a Marseille supporter was attacked in his vehicle.

The BAC cars were then attacked and ten other crews intervened as reinforcements to calm the situation.

Following these new incidents, CRS were called in to reinforce the security system.
