And speaking of LeBron James, it's clear that this season's failure is hurting his legacy.
Although he averages a wonderful average (30.3 points, 8.2 rebounds, 6.2 assists) - but his team looks crumbled and divided, unmotivated, and the 48 losses it has suffered (so far) is his most in his career this season.
According to ESPN commentator Stephen A. Smith, this season's failure closes the debate on "the best basketball player of all time," and finally rules out the possibility that LeBron will be defined as GOAT.
"This is the worst season of LeBron's career," Smith screamed, "I'm not talking about his numbers, and I'm not talking about what he did as an actor. I'm talking about the thing he's a part of. This season has finally signed that LeBron will never be considered the greatest of them all. "
Smith claims that for him Michael Jordan was always the greatest of them all, but he believed that if LeBron had won another championship and the greatest slingshot title of all time - it could have been argued.
But the fact that LeBron failed to unite the team and connect it, and succumb to a rival like young San Antonio with a fairly anonymous roster, closes any possibility for discussion.
"You're good enough to score 30 points per game, so how come you're not good enough to put your soldiers in place, so you can put together a respectable team? And that's a man who spoke and declared himself against the play-in. Now you're not even in the play-in!"
