Only three days after the 1-1 draw against SV Reichertsheim, FC Langengeisling has a catch-up game tonight.
Langengeisling
– TSV Otterfing, bottom of the table, will kick off at 8 p.m., having started the second half of the season with one point from two games.
The original game date the weekend before last had been postponed due to the adverse space conditions.
According to Maxi Maier, player and sporting director at FCL, the catch-up date on a Tuesday evening is anything but ideal.
“Neither we nor Otterfinger are happy about this appointment, but there was no other way.
Due to the many game cancellations this season, the tight schedule is logical - Otterfing now has six games in 18 days," he knows.
"There was no other possible date for this game, also because the BFV put pressure on us to catch up on the game as soon as possible."
The game also becomes special with a view of the underground.
"If I understood that correctly, we will play on the training ground because the main pitch is not floodlit," says Maier.
He adds that he is not assuming the best pitch conditions, which will make the game even more difficult.
Maier also explains what is important in the game against the bottom of the table.
"As in the last few games, we have to fight a lot of duels and secure the second ball.
Otterfing had no games at the weekend, they will be a bit fitter.
That's why we have to accept the fight," he states.
"We want to get some air on the relegation zone with three points."
It will be very difficult to do that, as the players from Langgeislingen have to play with a slightly thinner squad today.
With Severin and Kilian Stenzel, Lucas Seeholzer and Markus Obermaier, four players are missing for professional reasons.
Added to this is René Mecking's failure, who is still suffering.
