Former world number one Kim Clijsters has ended her tennis career.
The 38-year-old Belgian announced this on Tuesday.
"I would like to inform you that I have decided to no longer play official tournaments," wrote the four-time winner of Grand Slam tournaments on Instagram.
On the WTA side, Clijsters explained that her family is now her top priority.
Her comeback attempt during the coronavirus pandemic was unsuccessful.
Clijsters had not had any success in her few appearances since her return in February 2020, she had played her last match in October last year in Indian Wells.
Now the mother of three has announced her resignation for the third time after 2007 and 2012.
