Eduardo Salvio, Argentine Boca Juniors player, was denounced for "injuries in the context of gender violence" by his ex-partner and mother of his two children, Magui Aravena.

According to what Aravena told the police, Salvio ran over her with her car at dawn on Thursday and caused injuries to her leg.

The sequence was recorded in one of the dozens of security cameras in Puerto Madero, the neighborhood where Salvio lives in Buenos Aires.

The video shows how Aravena crosses in front of Salvio's car to prevent his advance.

At one point, the woman walks over to the passenger window and appears to be arguing with someone.

When Salvio tries to move forward, Aravena crashes the car and falls to the ground.

The Boca player then escapes in reverse and leaves his injured ex-partner.

Two people approach the place, assist the woman and call the police.

Salvio has played in Boca since 2019, when he arrived from Benfica in Portugal in exchange for seven million dollars, in which it was the most expensive pass of the season.

He had previously played for Atlético de Madrid and for the Argentine team that played in the 2018 World Cup in Russia. His relationship with Boca Juniors ends in June and his continuity has not yet been defined.

The steering wheel has not had a good performance, partly due to his personal problems.

In the middle of last December he separated from Aravena.

The player stayed in the family home in Puerto Madero, one of the most expensive neighborhoods in Buenos Aires, and the woman moved with the children to Olivos, on the northern outskirts of Buenos Aires.

Salvio now has a new partner, a 22-year-old woman who is recognized on social networks for her fanaticism for Boca Juniors.

On Wednesday night, the young woman posted a photo of the player making a barbecue for her.

Aravena then decided to go to Puerto Madero to talk to her ex-partner.

It is in this context that the sequence recorded by the security cameras and the complaint against Salvio for "injuries in the context of gender violence" took place.

According to the police report, “Mr. Salvio, with the intention of leaving the scene, begins to move forward when the denouncer is hit with the front wheel of the vehicle on the right leg, falling on the asphalt strip, causing abrasion at the height of right knee."

"This situation," says the complaint, "is taken advantage of by Mr.

Salvio's lawyer, Mariano Cúneo Libarona, told local media that his client had already made himself available to the prosecution that is handling his case.

“She told him I'm going to ruin you, you're not going to play anymore, you're going to have to go to Nigeria.

We have evidence that will prove her innocence.

Everything will be clear.

We have a wealth of evidence in the form of very important witnesses that will make the Prosecutor's Office know what happened," said Cúneo Libarona.

The Boca Juniors club responded to Salvio's legal problems with a brief statement.

"Boca Juniors, through the inclusion and equality department, makes itself available to Ms. Magalí Aravena and the Justice to reach her prompt clarification and ratifies its absolute commitment to gender and equality issues," the letter begins.

"In the same way, it will make available to Eduardo Salvio the necessary accompaniment that he may need," he adds.
