Today, the Argentine Public Prosecutor's Office filed charges of premeditated murder against the medical team that was assigned to treat the late Argentine football legend Diego Maradona, about 18 months after his death.
The medical team was accused of treating Maradona wrongly, as 8 of its members face charges of premeditated murder, which carries a sentence of 25 years in prison if found guilty.
Among those charged are Leopoldo Luc, Maradona's personal physician, psychiatrist Augustina Kozakov, a psychologist, another doctor, the medical coordinator of the health insurance and three nurses, while the eight defendants denied the charges against them.
