Formula 1 leader Charles Leclerc has a luxury watch stolen.

The Ferrari star from Monaco was out with his fitness coach in the Tuscan seaside resort of Viareggio on Monday evening when he met some fans.

Leclerc took time for autographs and photos with his supporters.

Leclerc's watch is said to have been stolen in the small crowd.

His Formula 1 racing team Ferrari confirmed the theft to the German Press Agency.

Due to the ongoing investigation, Ferrari did not want to disclose any details.

After the incident, fitness coach Andrea Ferrari criticized the poor street lighting in the area on social media.

The Monegasque World Championship leader wants to extend his lead this weekend in Imola, around two and a half hours' drive from Viareggio.
