Belgian Remco Evenepoel (Quick-Step) won Liège-Bastogne-Liège on Sunday, which was prematurely deprived of world champion Julian Alaphilippe injured in a fall.
Evenepoel, 22, attacked from afar, 29 kilometers from the finish, for his debut in the Doyenne of the classic cyclists.
Two other Belgians, Quinten Hermans and Wout van Aert, took second and third place.
Julian Alaphilippe, who was one of the favorites, gave up after a fall.
