Update from April 27, 10:55 p.m .: Conclusion:

At home in Anfield, the English Premier League runners-up took the lead through an own goal by Pervis Estupiñán (53rd minute).

Just two minutes later, Sadio Mané made it 2-0 for the Reds, who are well placed for next Tuesday's second leg in Spain.

The final will take place in Paris on May 28th.

The day before, Manchester City had won 4-3 against Real Madrid in the first semi-final first leg.

Around 3000 fans traveled to England with Villarreal FC.
