Chilean Alejandro Tapelo overcame the obstacle of French Hugo Gaston today to reach the quarter-finals of the Munich Tennis Championships.
Tapelo, ranked No. 91 in the world, faced Gaston, before the latter decided to withdraw due to an injury to his right hand, one hour and 47 minutes after the start of the match.
In the next round, Tapelo will face German Oscar Otti, who eliminated the American, followed by Opelka, with a score of 76, 7-4, 6-2.
