– Noah Staudt didn't manage something historic, but the offensive kicker of SVA Palzing doesn't have to hide with his goal after twelve seconds.

The reaction to the final whistle 90 minutes later was more subtle, but there were still isolated celebrations over the 2-2 draw in the basement duel against SV Kasing.

The Palzinger have kept their closest pursuer in the fight for the relegation place at a distance.

Losing was forbidden for both teams.

The guests wanted to end their series of twelve games without a win and put pressure on Palzing, the SVA maintain or even expand its four-point cushion on Kasing.

"It was important to be safe first," said SVA trainer Sepp Summerer.

His players obviously saw things differently, because Staudt took the lead with the first attack of the game.

After a long ball including a header extension from Louis Goldbrunner, a Kasinger ricochet landed on Staudt's foot, who didn't miss the chance from 14 meters out.

A little later, center forward Ivan Rakonic was decisively blocked (4th).

But the guest also had good actions that impressed SVA coach Summerer.

“Kasing did good things in terms of play.

I don't understand why they have so few points," said Summerer.

However, his team was more determined in the first half and increased just before the break.

After a free kick, Goldbrunner headed to the goal post and Rakonic pushed the rebound over the line to make it 2-0.

Palzing was about to take a giant step towards relegation.

Guests more offensive after the break

The guests didn't give up, but tried everything again after the change of sides.

With success, because Christoph Noll headed in after a cross to make it 2-1 (62nd).

The guests used the momentum and celebrated again just four minutes later when Martin Oblinger equalized with a header from a corner.

But Palzing got back on his feet and even had chances to take the lead again in the exciting final phase.

Among other things, Louis Goldbrunner headed just wide of the goal after a corner (85th).

So it remained a 2:2 draw, a result that Palzinger can live with better than their opponents.

"We had to tremble after the equalizer, but we didn't lose.

That was important," Summerer said.

It continues for the Palzinger on Wednesday with the home game against FC Alte Haide, who moved up four points to the SVA after their victory in Rohrbach.
