Fulham won the English Football League's second division title after defeating Luton Town by seven without a response today, to achieve a difference that its closest pursuers cannot compensate for at the top of the standings with one game before the end.
Fulham will end the season with a visit to Sheffield United, who are fifth, next Saturday.
The London club also became the first team in two decades to score more than 100 goals in a single season in the second division after six different players netted against Luton.
Serbian striker Aleksandar Mitrovic scored two goals to take his tally to 43 goals in 43 games this season, a record in the second tier since the new structure of English football was established in 1992.
