Hamilton insults: British Formula 1 team investigates its own PR employee

Lewis Hamilton was insulted by a McLaren employee on Facebook and Twitter - the British racing team has initiated investigations.
MIAMI - The British team McLaren Racing is leading a campaign against internet bullying in Formula 1.
Annoying that there is now a case in your own team.
As the racing team confirmed on Twitter, the company has started investigations against its own PR employee.
It's about hate messages against seven-time Formula 1 world champion Lewis Hamilton.
The messages were sent from the employee's private Twitter and Facebook accounts.

The hate messages are not isolated cases, the McLaren employee repeatedly insulted Hamilton.
The Mercedes driver was referred to as "ver*** P***" or "Ar***".

"Fuck you!
Because he has the fastest car in the field.
What a w***!” wrote the McLaren employee.
This season there can no longer be any talk of the fastest car, Hamilton was even lapped by Max Verstappen in Imola.
Another rough statement followed in September 2021.
“I would love to know which drivers actually like Lewis.
I bet there isn't one.” The employee was only too happy to make fun of the seven-time world champion's mistakes.
"F*** let's go!
F*** you, you p***!” she wrote after Hamilton was disqualified by Brazil in qualifying.
Formula 1: McLaren reacts to Hamilton insults with a short statement
McLaren responded with a statement on Twitter after the British team became aware of the hate mail last Friday.
"These comments completely contradict our values and culture at McLaren," the company said in the brief statement.
"We take the case extremely seriously and it is a priority for us to investigate," promised the team of Lando Norris and Daniel Ricciardo.
The two McLaren drivers, like record world champion Hamilton, will again be competing for championship points on May 8th in Miami.
The race starts at 9:30 p.m. German time.
