At the age of 31: Olympic medalist Uri Sasson retires from judo Israel today

The veteran judoka, who won a bronze in Rio 2016 and has not competed since the Olympic Games in Tokyo last summer, will enter a special press conference this coming Thursday where he will announce his retirement from sports activities

As was revealed about two months ago in "Israel Today", Olympic medalist Uri Sasson will enter a special press conference this Thursday with the participation of the union's chairman of the Phonetic language and the team's coach Oren Samadja.

Sasson, 31, has not competed since the Tokyo Olympics last summer, so was part of the team that won a bronze medal in the team competition.

During his career, Sasson competing in the over 100kg category, achieved the bronze medal in the individual competition at the Rio 2016 Olympics and twice won silver medals at the 2015 European Championships in Baku and a year later in Kazan.
