Ja Morant Lame After Injury in Game 3 Against Golden State (From Twitter)

After breaking Memphis 112: 142 in the third game of the Western Conference semifinals, Golden State hosted Memphis this morning (Tuesday) as a clear favorite to go up 1: 3 in the series and not because of the result in the previous game, but also and especially because the Grizzlies lacked their big star in that game Ja Morant who was injured in the previous game.

But Memphis, who won non-stop even in the regular season without Morant, gave a mighty fight to the Warriors but collapsed in the final quarter and Golden State mustered all its effort to win 98: 101 in a game in which it led for the first time only in the last minute and went up to a critical 1: 3 in this series.

Steph Kerry led the Warriors with 31 points on a bad percentage (10 of 25), but it was he who secured the win in Money Time with his team's last 8 points, all from the line.

Kerry added 8 assists and pizza on a weak day for Thompson who missed all 7 of his shots off the arc and stopped at 14. Drymond Green scored just 2 points but added 11 rebounds and also recorded a critical block on Jaren Jackson Jr..

Jackson was the standout on the other hand with 21 points and 5 blocks, but also missed critical shots in money time.

Tios Jones added 19 points to Memphis and Stephen Adams contributed 10 and 15 rebounds to the Grizzlies, hoping to get Morant back in the next game.

Golden State's opening game was shocking as it missed its first 15 (!) Shots off the arc.

Memphis was strong in matters thanks to a great defense, especially from Jaren Jackson Jr. and at the break it went down by a 3-pointer. In the third quarter there was a game of cat and mouse as the Warriors tried to close the gap.

Lonnie's basket 3.5 seconds to go set up just 66:62, but then Desmond Bain stitched a crazy three on the buzzer almost from the half and gave his team a 7-point lead towards the final quarter.

Stephen Adams scored in the opening of the fourth quarter and a Jaren Jackson Jr. basket gave Memphis a record 67:78 lead with just under 10 minutes left to end this exciting game.

But then Golden State started its own run, Steph Kerry scored 5 straight points and Jordan Paul completed a run that offset the lag to just 82:81.

Dillon Brooks responded with a 3-pointer, but Clay Thompson shrank to 85-83.

Kyle Anderson scored from the other side and then another three by Steph set up only 86:87.

The Warriors' lag was finally completely wiped out with a big basket from Kerry that set a 90:90, 3:25 minutes to go.

But Memphis was not alarmed.

The wonderful Jaren Jackson Jr. penetrated the basket and returned the advantage to Memphis and on the other hand Kyle Anderson blocked Clay Thompson and Wiggins scored an airball off the arc.
