Relegation to the district league: SVA Palzing beats SC Baldham 2-0 in the first leg.
Palzing – The chances that SVA Palzing will be part of the district league for the second year in a row are good.
In a hard-fought first leg, the green-whites managed a 2-0 win against SC Baldham-Vaterstetten yesterday evening in front of 640 spectators at their home stadium.
Now the Ampertalers can even afford a narrow defeat in the second leg on Sunday (5 p.m.).
Whether it will be tight again in the fight for relegation is doubtful given the performance yesterday.
The Palzinger were the more mature, stronger team, who found better answers to a densely populated defensive bulwark in the mostly mixed game.
Both teams were very similar in terms of the game, with the difference that the home side didn't let anything burn.
SVA keeper Christian Berghammer had a quiet evening while his opposite number Solomon Arewa had a couple of opportunities to excel.
In his last home game as an SVA coach, Sepp Summerer trusted the same team with one exception, which last Saturday after the 1:3 defeat in Feldmoching only managed to qualify for the relegation thanks to the help of SV Dornach.
Baldham coach Gedi Sugzda fielded the same 11 men who slipped into the playoffs at the last minute with two wins in the final push.
Both teams initially found it difficult to even get dangerously in front of the opponent's goal.
Palzing's strongest weapon was fast corner kicks, of which a co-production by the Radlmaier brothers brought the lead after a good half hour.
Fabian crossed inwards, there Marcel spiraled up, the header was untenable.
The fact that the Radlmaiers definitely had what it takes to do better was also evident in the second round. The Baldhamers used long balls far too often, which were calmly cleared by the midfielders rushing back or the SVA defense chain.
Fabian Raldmaier again prepared the decision.
Jonas Grundmann converted his low cross from the left with the help of Baldham defender Niklas Stepanek to make it 2:0.
