Rafael Nadal grabbed most of the headlines when he said ahead of tomorrow's game against Novak Djokovic in the quarterfinals that "this could be my last game at Roland Garros".
The rest of the titles have already been provided by tonight's games, the main one being the blossoming of Scandinavian tennis in Paris.
Caspar Rod became the first Norwegian in history to reach the last eight of the tournament after a 2: 6, 3: 6, 6: 3, 3: 6 victory over Polish Hubert Horkach.
"It's always been my dream to get to the last eight - and I feel like I have more experience now," said 23-year-old Rod.
His opponent in the quarterfinals will be another Scandinavian, Holger Rona from Denmark, who came to the tournament with zero wins in the Grand Slam tournaments and yesterday achieved his fourth and most prestigious - 5: 7 6: 3, 3: 6, 4: 6 over world number 4 Stefanos Tsitsipas.

"I was very excited at the end, but I knew I had to keep my tactics," said 19-year-old Rona, who became the first ever Danny in the Paris quarter-finals and the first in a Grand Slam quarter-final since the 1960s.
Andrei Rublev also rose to the quarterfinals, after rival Yannick Sinner retired due to injury during the third set.
Women: Quintech in the quarter
For the women, the relegation of nine out of the top ten was received with some understanding as long as the world number one and the best player in the world, Iga Schwontech, is still in the tournament.
This, too, seemed in jeopardy yesterday, after Poland lost a 2: 5 advantage in a tiebreaker and lost in the first set to 19-year-old Chinese Qinwan Zheng.
But more than that, Zheng did not achieve.
A hip injury prevented her from continuing at the same level, and Schweintech, who is celebrating 21 today, took advantage of this for a 0: 6, 2: 6 victory in the next two sets, which arranged for her to face Jessica Pegola (11) in the quarterfinals.
Another meeting in the last eight will be a Russian derby, between Daria Kastkina and Veronica Kodermatova.
