Perisic joins Tottenham

Croatian vice world champion Ivan Perišić follows his former coach Antonio Conte to English first division club Tottenham Hotspur.

The 33-year-old former Bundesliga professional comes on a free transfer from Inter Milan, where he has been under contract since 2015.

Conte, Inter coach from 2019 to 2021, had already taken over the team manager post at the London Champions League participant in November.

Perišić, who signed for London for two years, had won the Champions League on loan with Bayern Munich in 2020.

He had previously been under contract with Borussia Dortmund and VfL Wolfsburg in the Bundesliga.

PSG take option to buy Nuno Mendes

French champions Paris St. Germain have signed left-back Nuno Mendes on a permanent basis.

Mendes, previously on loan from Sporting Lisbon, will receive a contract until 2026. The transfer fee is estimated at around 40 million euros.

The 19-year-old, who has made 13 appearances for the Portuguese national team, made 37 competitive appearances for the Parisians last season.

Hertha signed Croatian Uremovic from Kazan

Defender Filip Uremovic, 25, is moving to Bundesliga club Hertha BSC for the new season.

The free defender comes from the Russian first division club Rubin Kazan and has been given a contract for the next four years.

The six-time Croatia international left Russia after the start of the war in Ukraine and has played three games for English second division side Sheffield United in the past two months.

Ngankam returns to Hertha

Jessic Ngankam is also returning to Hertha after a year on loan at SpVgg Greuther Fürth.

The 21-year-old, who extended his contract until June 30, 2025, tore his cruciate ligament shortly after the transfer to the Franconian team, but recently impressed in the Fürth offensive.

Ngankam has played 19 times for Hertha in the Bundesliga so far.

Most recently, he was called up for the U21 national team for the first time.

Bayern Munich sign Brazilian Souza da Silva

Runner-up Bayern Munich have been strengthened by the Brazilian Tainara de Souza da Silva from Girondins Bordeaux.

The 23-year-old defensive specialist has been given a three-year contract.

She moved from Brazilian club Palmeiras to Girondins in the French first division in 2021.

After 15 years at VfL: Pale moves to Zurich

After 15 years at VfL Wolfsburg, 27-time national player Anna Blass is moving to Grasshopper Club Zurich in Switzerland.

After seven German championships, nine DFB Cup and two Champions League victories with VfL, the 35-year-old defender signed a one-year contract in Zurich.

Pale's wife Lara Dickenmann has been working for the Swiss women since 2021 as general manager.

Too expensive: Schalke does not take the purchase option for Itakura

FC Schalke 04 is not exercising the purchase option for defender and Japanese international Ko Itakura, who was loaned out by Manchester City.

"In terms of sport, there are no two opinions: Ko was one of the outstanding players last season," said sports director Rouven Schröder, according to the club's announcement.

"We would have liked to see him as part of our Bundesliga team, but unfortunately this was not possible for financial reasons." According to media reports, Itakura would have cost between five and six million euros.

Number five: Union signs outside player Skarke

1. FC Union Berlin has already signed the fifth new signing for the coming season in the Bundesliga.

Tim Skarke is moving from second division club SV Darmstadt 98 to Alte Försterei on a free transfer.

The Berliners did not provide any information about the duration of the contract.

The 25-year-old winger has played 137 second division games for Darmstadt and FC Heidenheim so far.

Union had previously signed Jamie Leweling and Paul Seguin from relegated Fürth, as well as Danilho Doekhi from Vitesse Arnhem and Janik Haberer from SC Freiburg.

Barça still need income for Lewandowski deal

According to the Spanish football league, FC Barcelona still have to generate income from player sales before signing Bayern striker Robert Lewandowski, who is willing to emigrate.

"As of today," Barça cannot yet sign the 33-year-old Pole because of financial constraints, explained league president Javier Tebas.

The Catalan club is financially strapped with €1.35 billion in debt.

Laimer indicates farewell to RB Leipzig

Konrad Laimer is open to moving from DFB Cup winners RB Leipzig to another club.

It is "quite possible that I won't play in Leipzig next season," said the 25-year-old midfielder.

Laimer was recently mentioned several times as a preferred candidate by coach Julian Nagelsmann at FC Bayern.

His contract with RB runs until 2023. RB boss Oliver Mintzlaff recently emphasized that he absolutely wanted to keep Laimer: “He is one of the best six in the Bundesliga and played a fantastic second half of the season.

He fits in perfectly with our club and our DNA and his skills are almost unique in Germany.«

Leipzig striker Brobbey wants to stay at Ajax

RB seems far less enthusiastic about Brian Brobbey, who is loaned to Ajax Amsterdam.

But the 20-year-old striker himself doesn't want to return to RB anyway.

'I've said it before, I want to stay.

That's all I can say.

I think the clubs are talking to each other," said Brobbey, who is still tied to RB until 2025, the Dutch TV broadcaster NOS.

According to Dutch media reports, Leipzig is demanding a double-digit million fee for the attacker.

"I don't know if I'm worth it," said the U21 international.

He has not yet spoken to the new Amsterdam coach Alfred Schreuder: "I don't have his number."
