The Syrian national football team will meet with its Tajik counterpart in an international friendly match in Dubai tomorrow at 6:45 within the days of the international matches.

Our national team conducted training sessions at Al-Ahly Club Stadium in Al-Awir in preparation for the friendly match against Tajikistan.

The coach of the national team, Ghassan Maatouk, chose twenty-four players to play the match, which included eight local players and sixteen professional players, led by Saudi Al-Ahly striker Omar Al-Soma and Iraqi police striker Mahmoud Mawas.

In a statement to SANA, the national team manager, Iyad Mando, explained that the importance of the friendly match against Tajikistan lies in the fact that it helps in the international classification, knowing that we need to maintain our presence in the second level, which helps us in the draw for the upcoming Asian finals, pointing out that a large number of professional players are absent from the squad due to injury. And the lack of physical readiness, most notably Omar Kharbin, the Emirati Al Wahda striker, and Mahmoud Mawas and Yassin Samiya could not join for special reasons.

The squad included Ibrahim Alama, Ahmed Madaniah, Hussein Rahal, Khaled Kardaghli, Amr Janiyat, Saad Ahmed, Abdullah Al-Shami, Thaer Karuma, Abdullah Janiyat, Abdul Rahman Weiss, Hussein Al-Juwaid, Fahd Al-Youssef, Muhammad Rihaniya, Muhammad Al-Anz, Youssef Muhammad, Kamel Hamisheh, Muhammad Al-Marmour, Muhammad Al-Hallaq, Mardek Junaidian, Omar Al-Nasoh Soma.
