Dozens of representatives from the world's top leagues participated in an Israeli sports technology conference Israel today

The "Future Sport Israel" event, led by the Export Institute and Director of Foreign Trade at the Ministry of Economy, opened yesterday (Tuesday) at Bloomfield Stadium in Tel Aviv.

As part of the event, dozens of senior representatives of the world's leading sports leagues arrived in Israel, including executives from the Spanish Football League, the Italian Football and Basketball League, the NFL League, sports brands, investors and giants from the world of media and sports.

The conference began with remarks by the chairman of the Export Institute, Ayelet Nachmias-Rabin, in memory of the creator, the TV man and host of the sports channel, the late Modi Bar-On, who passed away after a serious illness.

The audience in the hall honored his memory with applause for a minute.

Representatives of international companies who came from Germany, France, Spain, China, India, South Africa and more - recruited mostly by the Ministry of Economy and Industry's economic annexes around the world, took advantage of the event to be exposed and get to know the dozens of Israeli companies presenting and participating.

According to data from the Export Institute, there are currently about 220 Israeli companies operating in Israel that provide solutions in the field of sports, with a volume of investments of over $ 700 million.

The focus of the event was a purposeful display of the leading Israeli technologies in a variety of areas: broadcasting, media, performance improvement, player health, spectator experience in stadiums, creation of sources of income for sports clubs and more.

During the event, four panels were held in various fields, including: performance improvement, adoption of sports technologies, Metaverse and more.

In addition, conference facilitator Meirav Miller held a one-on-one conversation with Yael Arad, Chairman of the Israel Olympic Committee.

Among the guests at the conference were former Israeli and Maccabi Tel Aviv basketball player Mickey Berkovich, Idan Vered soccer player, former Israel national team goalkeeper Bonnie Ginzburg, Danny Federman of Maccabi Tel Aviv basketball, Deputy Ambassador of Bahrain to Israel, Director of the Football Team's Data Department Seville from Spain and more.
