Sharon Drucker is expected to soon be appointed coach of Hapoel Haifa and will replace Elad Hussein who left in favor of Nes Ziona.
Drucker, 54, is coaching the Israeli women's team ahead of the 2023 European Championships to be held in Israel.
Last season he did not work in the league, and now he is returning to lead the team from Carmel to successes at least as in the last two seasons in which it finished in sixth place and reached the quarterfinals of the playoffs.
The coach's first task will be to prepare the team for Europe, as it is still unclear whether the Reds will get a ticket to the European Cup home stage or will have to go through the qualifiers.
