The relegation duel between TSV Schongau and SV Igling had to be stopped.

The reason was a violent thunderstorm.

The game will be played again on Whit Monday.

Schongau – The team of referees waited well over an hour, then the decision was made: The relegation game between TSV Schongau and SV Igling cannot be kicked off again.

The game was interrupted in the 60th minute due to a thunderstorm.

The duel, in which the Schongauer is about promotion to the district class, will now be held again on Whit Monday.

Kick-off is at 1 p.m.

The game is completely restarted.

Game abandoned in the 60th minute due to thunderstorms

When referee Lukas Rehekampff ordered the teams into the cabins because of the thunderstorm, it was 1:1.

The Schongauer had taken the lead 1-0 through an own goal by the guests.

Almadhi Alissa dared a direct acceptance after a cross from Markus Schleich, Igling's Florian Kranawetvogel unluckily deflected the ball to make it 1-0 for the hosts (41').

In stoppage time in the first half, Igling made it 1-1 with a penalty kick converted by captain Maximilian Götzfried.

Previously, Schongau's Daniel Böhm had fouled guest player Kranawetvogel.

In the first half, Schongau's Jasmin Dedic narrowly failed with a free kick - Igling's keeper Maxi Demleitner deflected the ball to the crossbar.

By the way: everything from the region is also available in our regular Schongau newsletter.

And in our Weilheim-Penzberg newsletter.

After the break, Schongau showed slightly better approaches than the opponent, but not much happened until the weather-related interruption.

Overall, the duel was on a moderate playful level.

The approximately 430 spectators saw many duels, interruptions and moves that came to nothing.

If the game had ended 1-1, the Schongauers would have been able to celebrate promotion.

Because the A-Classist won the first leg on Thursday 1-0 in Igling.

The goal scorer was Daniel Holzmann, who had to be substituted after just a few minutes of Sunday's second game due to a thigh injury he sustained through no opposition.
