Defeat to Ben Shehar: Young Team Conquerors in Football History Israel today

2022-06-06T09:52:29.259Z

Gabi's goal (17) last night against the Czech Republic made him the youngest player to do so in the Spanish uniform. The answers are inside

Gabi became last night (Sunday) the youngest conqueror in the history of the Spanish national team when at the age of 17 and 304 days he scored in 2: 2 against the Czech Republic.

In doing so, he improved on Enso Patti's record this week and gave the urge to test who the young conquerors in other teams around the world are.

So alongside topical names like Eduardo Camavinga from France and Alfonso Davis from Canada, there are some interesting names from the past.

Alongside quite a few stars who have stood the hype and pursued tremendous careers, there are those for whom the early start was large in some respects.

Here are some examples:

England

- Wayne Rooney (vs. Macedonia, aged 17 and 317 days):

In the case of England, the youngest conqueror in history also became the greatest conqueror in history (as of this writing and with Harry Kane blowing in the back of his neck).

As befits the prodigy he was, the striker started before the age of 18 and finished conquering at the age of 31. Today, at the age of 36, he is one of the youngest coaches in the world.

Italy

- Bruno Nicola (vs. France, aged 18 and 258 days):

The name Bruno Nicola does not mean much to the average viewer, and it stems from two facts.

The goal that made him the youngest scorer in the Italian uniform he scored in 1958, and apart from that he scored only one more goal.

The thing with Nicola that he accomplished very much in a very short time.

He won three championships and two trophies with Juventus, was the youngest captain in the region's history, was nominated for a Golden Ball in 1958, and at the age of 27 abandoned everything in favor of studies.

Germany

- Marius Hiller (vs. Switzerland, aged 17 and 241 days):

In 1910 Marius Hiller scored his only hair in the German national team uniform and surprisingly survived for more than 110 years as the youngest conqueror in the history of Manspat.

Hiller was a native of Argentina, and in 1916 moved to represent the South Americans under the name Eduardo Hiller.

In the modern era, the youngest conqueror is Jamal Musiala - who has a great future ahead of him, and Mario Getza - who has a great past.

The Netherlands

-

Jan van Barda Kolf (vs. Belgium, 17):

In 1911, in his debut game against the Netherlands, Dan Brother's player scored his only goal in 11 appearances for the national team and entered the pages of history to this day.

After retirement he moved to the US, where he passed away at the age of 82. Today, his son and grandson are esteemed basketball coaches.

Brazil

-

Pele (vs. Argentina, aged 16 and 9 months):

Unsurprisingly, Pela also signed this record for the Brazilian national team.

This goal came against Argentina a few months before the 1958 World Cup in Sweden, where he will become the youngest player to do many other things.

Argentina

-

Diego Armando Maradona (vs. Scotland, aged 18 and 7 months):

Even in the case of Argentina, the young goal scorer in history is the greatest player in history.

Diego did so after the disappointment of not being called up for the World Cup in 1978 and against Scotland and a few months after leading the young Argentina team to a World Cup win.

Portugal

-

Fernando Chelana (vs. Cyprus, aged 17 and 7 months):

In the 1970s and early 1980s, Celana was one of the stars of Benfica and the Portugal national team.

He was one of the youngest to play, and the youngest to score when he did so in the 1976 World Cup qualifier against Cyprus.

Celana scored just one more goal in 27 appearances for the national team, and also against Cyprus.

Colombia

-

Junior Montagno (against Argentina, aged 16 and 5 months):

Although Martin Palermo stole the show in the same Copa America game in which he missed three penalties, there was another story in that same Colombia 0: 3 victory.

Montenegro, then a tremendous 16-year-old talent, scored one of the goals and became the youngest to do so in a Colombian uniform and the youngest to score at the Copa America.

since?

This.

Talent became failure.

He did not return to the national team, changed teams at a dizzying pace and recently retired from the game.

Nigeria

-

Pemi Upbomani (vs. Kenya, aged 17 and 62 days):

Nigeria’s frenetic striker is a classic case of a balloon that inflated at too young an age and exploded at too young an age.

After starring in the Under-17 World Cup he made his senior national team debut and became one of the youngest in history to play in the World Cup.

At the same time, his resume includes only two goals as a mature player: against Kenya in 2002, and in the Hapoel Beer Sheva uniform.

At the end, at the age of 22 and following an illness in his eyes, he retired from acting.

Wales

-

Gareth Bale (against Slovakia, aged 17 and 83 days):

Bale was in Southampton when he scored his first goal in the national team uniform in 2006.

16 years later he is already the all-time top scorer of the team with 38 such and the biggest responsible for putting an end to the 64-year wait since the last World Cup in which she participated.

Myanmar

-

Ong Kyo Ton (vs. Thailand, aged 14 and 93 days):

According to FIFA records, in November 2000 Kiao Ton became the youngest conqueror in the history of international football when he made his debut against Thailand. Unsurprisingly, it was his only goal in the national team uniform in 13 appearances.

Israel

-

Ben Shehar (vs. Estonia, aged 17 and 7 months):

Shehar scored a double in the same game in the Euro 2008 qualifiers. Later he will score six more goals in the national team uniform.
