"I started karting at 2 years old": Josh Pierson will compete in the 24 Hours of Le Mans at... 16 years old!

He just got his driver's license in the United States. As talented as he is precocious, he is however preparing to become, this Saturday,


Even for his age, Josh Pierson looks like a kid.

His innocent, laughing gaze resting under red hair, a slim, slender body he's tucked away in a polo shirt, blue jeans and a pair of white checkered Vans: pose him in any high school yard, and he will blend in with the crowd.

However, at only 16 years old, Josh is already a champion.

A driver from an early age, he is currently competing under the United Autosports banner in the World Endurance Championship (WEC), the third stage of which will be, this weekend of June 11 and 12, the mythical 24 hours from the Mans.

The youngest driver to have ever won an event in this championship at Sebring, he will also be the youngest to register his name at the start of the Sarthe race.
