Four-time world champion Sebastian Vettel once again gave a political signal in the Formula 1 paddock.

The Aston Martin driver wore a white T-shirt with the words "Friends" and "Peace" written in black in Russian when he arrived in Baku on Saturday before the final training session.

Two hands were shown shaking hands.

In addition, the 34-year-old Hesse wore sweatbands in the blue and yellow colors of the Ukraine.

In the past few weeks, Vettel has spoken out several times against the background of the Russian war of aggression in Ukraine.

Azerbaijan is a former Soviet republic.

Until 1991, Russian was an official language alongside Azerbaijani.

Russian is still taught in schools there today.

As recently, Vettel rolled into the paddock several times on a rainbow-colored bike.

The Aston Martin driver has been drawing attention to ecological and political issues for some time now.

Shortly after the outbreak of war on February 24, he also wore a racing helmet with the Ukraine flag, and he had also campaigned for a boycott of the Russia race, which was later canceled.

He also campaigns for the rights of homosexuals and for environmental protection.
