District league team TSV Neuried is focusing on continuity this year.

Unlike in previous years, the coaching tandem will remain: Josip Hrgovic and Daniel Dörfler.

Neuried – There have been a number of coach changes at the district football club TSV Neuried in recent years.

But the green-whites want more continuity.

This summer, for the first time in a long time, Neuried is starting the new season with the same team of coaches that ended the previous one: Josip Hrgovic and Daniel Dörfler remain in office as equal coaching duo.

"We had very good discussions and are very satisfied with their work," says the acting head of the football department, Martin Trissler.

TSV Neuried: Hrgovic and Dörfler wanted to wait for the end of the season

The club had signaled internally early on that they wanted to continue with both coaches - "regardless of the league," as Trissler emphasizes.

However, both had asked to postpone the question of their personal future until after the end of the season.

The initial focus was on staying up.

After the 3-0 win at SC Pöcking-Possenhofen on the final day of the game and the associated relegation, the sporting directors, coaches and team quickly agreed that they wanted to continue working together.

With just one win in ten competitive games, 2022 has so far been unsatisfactory.

However, Trissler does not blame the coaches for the fact that the team had to fight to stay up until the season finale.

“It was difficult circumstances.

After our Corona outbreak, we lost a lot of games in the final phase and got into a negative spiral as a result.

The relegation battle was then a completely unfamiliar situation for most of the players," says the head of department, who in the end was above all happy that the season was over.

Neuried: After a difficult second half of the district league, looking forward to the new season

However, anticipation for the coming season is slowly starting to spread again, in which some attractive league newcomers such as 1. FC Garmisch-Partenkirchen, who have been relegated from the state league, or TSV 1865 Murnau, who have been promoted to the district league, will enrich the district league south.

Trissler is optimistic that a more successful season will be possible with the two TSV coaches.

"I see a development.

Both benefit from each other,” says the football boss, who is sticking to the dual leadership model.

TSV Neuried: Hrgovic and Dörfler complement each other well as coaches

Hrgovic, who continues to train the A-Youth, is also happy about the summer break, but is slowly looking forward to the start of preparations on June 20th.

"I took a lot with me from the season," says the 30-year-old, adding: "We took a close look at what went well and what didn't.

Then we decided together to continue.”

He sees working with Dörfler (37), who joined the coaching team as successor to Maximilian Zgud (now at FC Neuhadern) during the winter break, as positive.

Both would tick similarly, but also contribute different perspectives.

According to Hrgovic, the coaches definitely have one thing in common: "We both have very high expectations of ourselves."

TSV Neuried: Two newcomers and one departure to a state league

The expectations of the players also remain high.

All footballers have to complete a training plan before the first team training session.

In addition to the A-youths, who were already involved in the season finale, two external newcomers have already been confirmed, and a few more could still be added.

"We need competition," says Hrgovic.

However, one departure is already certain: Marko Ralic (21) joins state league club TSV Gilching-Argelsried.

The versatile left footer played 19 district league games for Neuried last season, scoring two goals and providing five assists.
