She's here again.
After a year off the field, Serena Williams announced today (Tuesday) that she is back in competition, and will already take part in the upcoming Wimbledon tournament, which will open in less than two weeks.
As you may recall, the 40-year-old Williams was injured during the previous Wimbledon tournament in her leg and had to retire during the first round.
Since then the American has not competed again, and has deteriorated to the second millennium in the world rankings (currently 1208 in the world).
Now, the former top-seeded, and whoever has won seven Grand Slam titles on Wimbledon turf (four singles and three more doubles alongside her sister Venus), will have a chance to prove once again, that she may have been mourned too soon.
