Exactly three years ago Clay Thompson was badly injured in the Achilles tendon during the NBA Finals.
Without him, Golden State lost to the championship-winning Toronto and since then the Warriors have failed to replicate the feat.
This morning (Tuesday) Thompson scored 21 points and along with Andrew Wiggins (26 and 13 rebounds), the two covered a very lukewarm game of Steph Kerry (0 of 9 off the arc) and Golden State is one win away from a seventh championship with a 94: 104 home win over Boston.
Steve Kerr complimented Andrew Wiggins, who scored a playoff record and proved why he was selected first in the draft: "That's why he was selected 1st in the draft. He does a great job of figuring out what we need. He takes rebounds, attacks the ring and keeps the best players on the opposing team. "It suits us and we fit it. It's a great wedding. It's fantastic not only in this series, but throughout the playoffs."

"There's a reason he started at All-Star," added Drymond Green, "the bigger the challenge we put on him, the bigger his reaction. You want players like that on the team. When the stage is big, they react and play their best football and that's what he does." .
After shelling out 43 points in the previous game, Steph Kerry settled for 16 points and 8 assists, but missed all nine of his shots off the arc.
This game cut to Steph a streak of 132 consecutive playoff games with at least one three-pointer.
In all, he recorded 233 consecutive games with a three, up to this game.
Drymond Green actually found a positive point from Kerry's low game and said, "0 out of 9 out of the arc? He's going to remember that in game number 6. That's exactly what we needed. For us. "
His streak was broken, but that did not stop Golden State from winning.

"We were not as sharp as we should have been," concluded to Horford, "it's hard. We're with our backs to the wall now and we have to show what we're made of."
"We were not at our best, we failed to move the ball," added coach Ima Idoka, "the third quarter showed we were capable of showing it. We found players available by moving the ball, but we did not do it in the final quarter."
