The 2022 NBA Finals series is at its peak, with the Golden State Warriors currently leading 2: 3 over the Boston Celtics.
However, there are those who stole the show in one of the games literally.
During the preparations for tonight's game, Golden State No. 11 Clay Thompson, one of the Warriors' big stars, went up to the warm-up with the team, and like everyone else started throwing in the basket.
So far, a professional routine.
But very quickly, one could notice that he was not scoring as well as he knew, and after ten full minutes the plot was exposed - this is an impostor named Garley Dawson.
The American, who has a certain resemblance in appearance to the real star of the finalist, bought tickets for the team games for ten thousand dollars, to sit in the front row near the parquet and carry out his plan.
I signed a mans shirt who thought I was actually Klay Thompson 😂😂 pic.twitter.com/1Xhj139xVl

Dawson, naturally, took advantage of his position to get on the floor, but in fact he has been impersonating Thompson for some time, and as you can see a seal for fans and being photographed with them, while wearing the Golden State uniform.
He documented everything on his Twitter account, in photos and videos - very amused by the situation, until the Warriors management got on the impostor, and in a scathing letter informed him that he was immediately removed for life from the team games.
Here's the official letter of my ban.

So the next time you see Steph Kerry leaving Thompson alone out of the arc, you better sharpen your gaze, to be sure it's a Golden State star about to thread the three, and not Dawson or another impostor.
Were we wrong?
Fixed!
