Six years of anticipation came to an end tonight (Friday), when Olympiacos regained the title of Greek champion, at the end of a one-sided final series in which they defeated arch-rivals Panathinaikos 0: 3.
The result of the decisive game: 74:93.
This is the big comeback season for the Reds from Athens, who completed a local double, after winning the Greek Cup earlier this season and even qualifying for the Euroleague Final Four.
Olympiacos returned this season to the first division in Greece after two years in the sub-league and took control of things from the beginning, as stated on the way to the first championship since 2016.
Shaquille Mixik gave his all in the final (10 points tonight), but the standouts in the third game were Sasha Wozniacki with 25 points and Kostas Slokas with 14 points.
Panathinaikos, on the other hand, are finishing a very bad season in which they finished at the bottom of the Euroleague, and are losing the championship title after four consecutive wins.
