Our series “Paris 2024, fears about the Games”
In two years, on July 26, 2024, the French capital will welcome the whole world for the Olympic and then Paralympic Games.
And the closer the deadline gets, the more difficulties accumulate for the organizing committee (Cojo).
Through a series of six episodes mixing political, sporting or federal actors, Le Parisien details all the files that haunt the nights of the leaders of the Cojo and worry the sporting authorities.
The budget of all dangers
The incredible bazaar of Olympic venues
The organization of competitions impacted
The mirage of the "Games of all of France" (to be published on Sunday July 10)
French sport in walking disorder (Monday July 11)
The dangerous fantasy of 80 medals (Tuesday July 12)
Entrusting the management of certain sites during the Games to operators who are used to them and who know the workings perfectly, in particular because they operate them all year round, was a fine and innovative idea.

explains Étienne Thobois, the general manager of Paris 2024. At the same time, there was a little music: the international federations told us they wanted to be more invested, this system seemed to us to be going in this direction.
