City brace for Chelsea

Chelsea are looking to secure the services of two Manchester City players: Raheem Sterling and Nathan Aké.

The transfer from Sterling is said to be as good as complete, the parties are said to only have to agree on a transfer fee – there are 53 million euros in the room, which could increase to 64 million with bonuses.

According to a "Times" report, negotiations on Aké's move are well advanced.

The centre-back joined Manchester City from AFC Bournemouth for €45m in 2020 but never got beyond the role of backup player under Pep Guardiola.

At Chelsea, where Aké was under contract from 2011 to 2017, the chances of the versatile defender are much better.

After the departures of Antonio Rüdiger and Andreas Christensen, Thomas Tuchel urgently needs reinforcements on the defensive.

An ex-Armine for Olympique Marseille

Olympique Marseille is said to be working on a summer addition for the defensive: The French national player Jonathan Clauss, 29, who was also under contract with Arminia Bielefeld in the meantime, is to come.

This is reported by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano on Twitter.

Clauss is currently under contract with RC Lens, which runs until 2023. Clauss would be able to play in the Champions League with OM.

Stuttgart brings Vagnoman from Hamburg

Bundesliga club VfB Stuttgart have signed Josha Vagnoman from Hamburger SV.

As the club announced, the current U21 international has signed a contract until 2026.

According to media reports, HSV will receive a transfer fee of 3.7 million euros plus bonus payments.

“Josha can be used on the flanks both defensively and with a more offensive orientation.

With his profile, he is one of the most interesting players in Germany in this age group,” said sporting director Sven Mislintat.

The 21-year-old full-back Vagnoman played a total of 61 second division games for HSV, scoring five goals.

The native of Hamburg is already going to the training camp in the Allgäu with his new teammates on Saturday.
