Zenit Petersburg retained the Russian Super Cup title for the third time in a row, after beating Spartak Moscow 4-0 in the match that brought them together yesterday evening.
The Zenit Petersburg quartet was signed by the players Ivan Sergeev, the Brazilian Malcom, the Brazilian Wendell and the Colombian Matthew Casiera in the 29th, 43rd, 46th and 90th minutes, respectively.
Zenit was crowned champion of the competition for the third time in a row and the seventh in its history, equaling the record held by CSKA Moscow alone, followed by Lokomotiv Moscow in third place with three titles, and Rubin Kazan in fourth place with two titles.
While Spartak Moscow lifted the Russian Super Cup only once in 2017.
