"Don't stop me now", it was said in the Semptsporthalle.

Under this motto, the gymnastics department of the SpVgg Altenerding had invited to a varied gymnastics evening.

Alteenerding - After two difficult years due to Corona and the long closure of the Semptsporthalle due to renovation work, the gymnastics department was only able to resume training under normal conditions at the end of February.

Since the children had no opportunity to show their skills for so long, the coaching team decided to organize a gymnastics evening.

Above all, fun and joy in gymnastics should be in the foreground.

A total of eight groups with 100 active participants took part: the four competition groups, two leisure groups and two trampoline groups.

The evening was opened by the gymnasts of competition groups I and II (age 7 to 16 years) on the Airtrack, a twelve meter long air-filled jumping mat.

In particular, fast movement sequences such as rollovers, somersaults and free-jumping elements such as wheels or menichellis were shown.

It continued with the youngest gymnasts of the evening, competition group IV. The girls, aged five to seven, have only been together as a group since February and invited to a happy bike tour, showing their skills on the floor and balance beam.

This was followed by the two recreational gymnastics groups of the SpVgg Altenerding.

Girls between the ages of six and twelve, who train once a week, showed a potpourri of gymnastics elements on the floor, on the balance beam and on the mini-trampoline.

The competition gymnasts III, all of primary school age, provided momentum with a sequence of jumps on the mini-trampoline structure and then captivated the audience with a synchronized interlude on the balance beam.

Then it was off to dizzy heights on the giant trampoline.

The trampoline groups of the SpVgg showed synchronous jumps on the two giant trampolines, sometimes at dizzying heights, and presented the spectators how diverse the sport of gymnastics is.

Competitive gymnasts I and II concluded with a freestyle for the Queen classic “Don't stop me now”.

Despite a few short-term absences due to illness and injury, the big girls delivered a great performance and once again delighted the audience with their performance.
