Hapoel Beer Sheva defeated the Belarusian Dynamo Minsk 1:2 in a mediocre game, but should take advantage of the fact that next week's rematch will also be held in Turner to advance to the next stage of the Conference League qualifiers.
Immediately after the game, coach Eliniv Barda said: "The second game will be much more difficult. We came today without many scoring situations, but the decision-making in the front part was not good enough. I'm sure it will improve."
Beer Sheva player David Keltins added: "We did get into a lot of situations, but misses are part of the game, I'm still sure we'll get the job done next week."
On the other hand, the coach of Dynamo Minsk, Artyom Chaldinsky, said: "We were not ready for Beer Sheva's opening and the heat killed us, it was very difficult to play in this weather.
"We had problems on the wings, and we were not able to cope with the changes in Beer Sheva's formation during the game. Still, the result of the game is fine for us and we will try to do our best in the summary of the two games."
Chaldinsky concluded: "The fact that there is no crowd in the next game will be in our favor, because we are not used to such a large crowd. There is no such atmosphere in Belarus, and this was in favor of Beer Sheva. Beer Sheva's players are definitely at a high level. This is a balanced and good team."
