Maccabi Netanya fans on the streets of Istanbul before the Conference League qualifier against Shakshahir (Ido Perry)
Exactly ten years have passed since the last time Maccabi Netanya played in a European framework, then it was eliminated by the Finnish Kops in the second qualifying round of the European League.
Tonight (Thursday, 20:45, Sport 2), Netanya will return to the games in the international framework.
Bnei Lem's team will be hosted by Turkish side Bashkashir Istanbul in the second qualifying round of the Conference League games.
Despite the budget differences and levels between the two clubs, Netanya believes that they are able to return to Israel with a good result, one that will leave a real chance for reciprocity next week in Israel.
In the professional part, coach Bnei Lam is expected to start with the same lineup as the one he started against Maccabi Tel Aviv in the Toto Cup, with Liran Rotman and Gil Yitzhak continuing to get credit at the front alongside Patrick Twamsi.
Making happy in Istanbul.

Striker Igor Zeltanovic has tried to train in recent days, but he still suffers from knee pain and even if he is eventually included in the squad, he is not expected to play.
The medical staff will try to train him for reciprocity.
Several hundred Netanya fans landed last night and this morning in Istanbul and in the last few hours, painting the Turkish capital of Turkey yellow-black.
Fans arrived at restaurants and bars in the city center, equipped with cheerleading accessories and pyrotechnic equipment.
