For SpVgg Unterhaching, the first home game of the current season in the Regionalliga Bayern is this Saturday (2 p.m.).

On the second day of the game, FV Illertissen travels to the sports park.

Unterhaching

- After the 3-1 win at the start of the season at TSV Buchbach, the people of Haching are going into the race as favorites.

SpVgg assistant coach Thomas Kasparetti does not want to underestimate the team from Swabia.

Although coach Marco Conrad's team got off to a bad start with a 2-1 loss against Aschaffenburg, Kasparetti remembers in particular the strong performances from Illertissen in the previous season.

The club, which was seventh in the final table at the time, presented itself strongly in both games against Haching.

Both in the 0: 2 in September 2021 in the first leg in the Unterhachinger Sportpark and in the 2: 0 away win of the SpVgg almost three months ago, the Illertissen team proved to be a heavy chunk.

"Illertissen has to cope with a small upheaval after the great previous season, it will be exciting to see how they get off the starting blocks.

Maybe they also have the cup game next week in mind.

I'm curious how they can hide that," said Haching's assistant coach in a video message.

Before the game, the upcoming opponent at least shows a good deal of respect for the current third in the table, who would like to have a say in the fight for the championship this season.

"Of course he's the top favourite, who showed where he wants to go in the first game.

Hachinger will put us under pressure from the start, they like to operate with long balls and then move up," speculates Marco Konrad, coach of FV Illertissen, to the online portal Fupa.net.

"Actually, we don't have a chance, but we have to take advantage of it.

It's also an experience for our young players, nine of whom are under 23, to play in a stadium and in front of a crowd like this.

If they can then take something countable with them, that would be even nicer.”

The team of SpVgg head coach Sandro Wagner should appear in front of a home audience with a similar starting formation as last time in Buchbach.

At the successful start of the season, there were no failures due to performance or injury.

The list of injuries remains the same for the second game of the season: Florian Roggermeier, Stephan Hain, Dominik Stahl, Maximilian Welzmüller and Tizian Zimmermann are still out.

The red-blue team's enthusiasm for the performance in front of their home fans is unabated before the home game starts.

"The team is in a good mood, very concentrated, very focused.

The boys are positively tense, that's exactly how it should be," says Kasparetti.
