The gaps in the squad of the Peißenberg "Miners" are getting smaller and smaller.

With three more signings, the squad now includes 16 outfield players and two goalkeepers.

Peißenberg

– With Dominik Ebentheuer, an absolute Peißenberg veteran extended his commitment to the Bavarian league.

"He's been playing with us since his first ice hockey lesson," says "Miners" spokesman Andreas Schugg, who is happy about the commitment of the defender, against whom no opponent likes to play.

"Dominik is a defensive machine," Schugg praised the 30-year-old defender, who played his 300th game for his home club last season.

In addition to his well-known physically robust style of play, which earned him an impressive 117 penalty minutes last season, Ebentheuer, who is called "Jeppe" in Peißenberg, also impressed with his offensive qualities.

In 35 games he collected an impressive 16 points (3 goals, 13 assists).

With Martin Lidl remains another experienced defender

In addition to Ebentheuer, the Peißenbergers will retain another experienced defender.

Martin Lidl extends the "Miners" and thus makes the defense of TSV Peißenberg (almost) complete.

The 27-year-old Eglfinger impressed last season "not only with his sovereign work on the defensive", as Schugg notes, but also with a strong 17 points in 29 games.

In terms of scorer points, it was Lidl's most successful season to date.

"Martl calls for constant performances, and he pleases with his physical and direct style of play.

He is also a very important building block in the team structure in the dressing room,” praises Michael Resch, second department manager of the “Miners”.

Striker Max Willberger should start next season

A young striker who also remains loyal to the Peißenbergers still has to work towards such values.

Max Willberger established himself in the Peißenberger lineup in the past season.

The 22-year-old forward, who played for SC Forst in the 2019/20 season, recorded two goals and one assist in 31 games, showing his potential.

"Max puts his heart and soul into it and above all his fighting spirit is very important for our team," said Schugg, who hopes that the young attacker will hit the ground running in the coming season.

Goalie Kornreder moves to Paffenhofen

In the meantime, it is also clear which team Jonathan Kornreder will be in charge of next season.

The 23-year-old goalie is moving to Peißenberg's league rivals EC Pfaffenhofen.

The "Miners" fans can already make a note of one date: on Saturday, August 27th, the Peißenbergers invite you to the season opening party in the Tiefstollenhalle from 3 p.m.
