Syria's weightlifting team won today four bronze medals in the Asian Youth and Junior Championships, which is currently being held in the Uzbek capital, Tashkent.
Ali Ismail was able to win three medals for the weight of 102 kg in the junior category, through the snatch lift of 135 kg, the net lift of 161 kg, and in the overall total of 296 kg, which are three new Syrian numbers in netting, snatching and the total.
Weightlifter Jaafar Mia achieved fourth place in the weight of 67 kg for the junior category through the snatch lift of 112 kg, the net lift of 138 kg, and the overall total of 250 kg.
It is noteworthy that our team includes the weightlifters Qasura Jajili, Ali Ismail, Jaafar Maya and Ahmed Al Ali, under the supervision of coach Ahed Jajili.
