SERIES (2/3). Unlike a Pogacar or a Bernal, the star of the Jumbo-Visma is anything but a phenomenon of precocity. The 25 year old Dane

Our series on Jonas Vingegaard, the new boss of the Tour de France

We imagined a hat-trick from Pogacar, or the revenge of Primoz Roglic.

But few suspected that it would be him, the new king of France.

At 25, the Dane of the Jumbo-Visma, Jonas Vingegaard, will win his first Tour de France on Sunday.

Without really knowing him.

Here are three stories to better understand the new yellow jersey.

  • Caravan, grills and climbs… summers in the Alps of little Jonas

  • How he almost escaped his fate and the radars of the Jumbo

  • Papa poule, fake quiet but real discreet… the story of an anti-star

  • Thibaut Pinot and Romain Bardet are neither more nor less than privileged people, well-born, pure talents who have had a golden spoon placed in their mouths.

Simply, these two had a crazy chance, that of having grown near their favorite amusement parks.

One in Franche-Comté, twenty miles from his beloved Planche-des-Belles-Filles, the other in Auvergne not far from his favorite bump rides.
