The qualification of Les Bleues for the semi-finals of the Euro football against the Netherlands achieved the best television audience on Saturday evening, with more than 5 million viewers, indicated Sunday Médiamétrie and the channels.
The success of Corinne Deacon's players (1-0 after extra time) against the defending champions attracted 4.46 million viewers on TF1, with an audience share of 28.7%, the highest of the evening.
We arrive at a cumulative audience of just over 5 million by adding the score of Canal +, the other broadcaster, with 616,000 spectators, according to figures provided to AFP by the channel.
Canal+ specifies that a peak was reached at 11:10 p.m. at the end of the first part of extra time with 798,000 viewers, which corresponds to Eve Perisset's goal from the penalty spot (102nd).

This success is however far from the record of Les Bleues in June 2019 with nearly 12 million viewers (TF1 and Canal +) for the round of 16 victory against Brazil, during the World Cup in France. France will face Germany on Wednesday in the semi-finals.
