Jiří Sýkora stopped jumping after being injured

The decathlete Jiří Sýkora was eliminated from the World Championships in Athletics after a spectacular broken rod.
The accident of the 27-year-old from the Czech Republic happened on the first attempt over a height of 4.80 meters.
Sýkora then had to be treated on his left hand, blood was wiped off the landing mat.
He couldn't jump any further afterwards and packed up his things.
Previously, he had jumped the 4.60 meters with his last attempt.
